Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards and planograms across designated product categories.
- Ensure optimal stock levels on shelves and in display areas, preventing out-of-stock situations and overstocking.
- Monitor product freshness, rotation, and expiry dates, removing damaged or expired goods promptly.
- Set up, organize, and refresh promotional displays, ensuring all signage and pricing are accurate and appealing.
- Collaborate with store management and sales teams to implement seasonal and special event merchandising initiatives.
- Conduct regular store walks to identify merchandising opportunities and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback on product performance, customer preferences, and display effectiveness.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe sales floor, ensuring products are easily accessible to customers.
- Assist with inventory counts and receiving procedures when required.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with in-store staff and suppliers.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in merchandising or a similar retail role (minimum 1 year)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong visual merchandising aptitude and creativity
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Basic understanding of retail operations and sales principles
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- A Certificate or Diploma in Retail Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Previous experience working within a supermarket or FMCG distribution environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic POS operations
- Proficiency in both English and French/Creole
