Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and simple assembly.
- Wash, peel, cut, and prepare various ingredients as per recipe instructions and chef's guidance.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and cleaning cooking equipment.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring proper rotation and inventory management of fresh produce and dry goods.
- Help with the disposal of kitchen waste and recycling.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Support the culinary team during service times, ensuring timely availability of prepared items.
- Assist with routine kitchen tasks as assigned by senior kitchen staff.
- Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary supplies throughout shifts.
