Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the company vehicle fleet, including strategic acquisition, meticulous maintenance, effective repair, and responsible disposal.
- Develop, implement, and rigorously manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimise vehicle downtime and ensure maximum reliability and safety.
- Strategically manage and optimise staff schedules for drivers and maintenance personnel to ensure comprehensive coverage and peak operational efficiency.
- Ensure full and continuous compliance with all relevant transport regulations, stringent health and safety standards, and current environmental legislation.
- Monitor and analyse key fleet performance metrics, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilisation, preparing insightful reports for senior management.
- Negotiate expertly with suppliers and service providers for vehicle purchases, essential parts, and comprehensive maintenance services to achieve significant cost efficiencies.
- Implement and proactively manage advanced fleet tracking systems and other relevant technologies to enhance operational oversight and data-driven decision making.
- Conduct regular, thorough vehicle inspections and comprehensive audits to ensure compliance and proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and meticulously evaluate fleet staff, fostering a high-performance team culture built on excellence and mutual support.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar leadership role, with a strong emphasis on vehicle maintenance and staff scheduling.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle mechanics, comprehensive maintenance procedures, and current road transport legislation (e.g., O Licence compliance).
- Proficiency in modern fleet management software and advanced scheduling tools.
