Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily gardening tasks including planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, weeding, and pest control.
- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, trimming, and aeration.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor the health of plants, identifying and treating diseases or infestations promptly.
- Design and implement landscape enhancements under supervision.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of all garden areas.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding garden health or equipment to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance and minor repairs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Solid knowledge of horticulture, plant care, and garden maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with various types of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees suitable for the UAE climate.
- Ability to operate gardening tools and light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers).
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in horticulture or a related field.
- Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in an arid climate.
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Valid UAE driving license (optional but a plus).
- Basic communication skills in English or Arabic.
