Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick up and deliver urgent packages, documents, and other items within Garissa County.
- Plan and execute the most efficient delivery routes to meet strict deadlines.
- Ensure the safe handling and secure transportation of all goods, maintaining their integrity.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and safe riding practices at all times.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, dispatchers, and internal staff.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, and package status updates.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the motorcycle and promptly report any maintenance needs or issues.
- Handle cash payments for deliveries (if applicable) and ensure accurate reconciliation of funds.
- Represent Career.zycto with a positive, professional, and customer-focused image at all times.
- Adapt to changing delivery schedules, unforeseen challenges, and new routes with a positive and flexible attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Motorcycle Riding License (Class BCE or equivalent)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional motorcycle courier or urgent delivery experience
- Excellent knowledge of Garissa County roads, landmarks, and shortcuts
- Strong time management, organizational, and route planning skills
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and perform well under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail
- Physical fitness to handle demanding delivery schedules and lift packages safely (up to 20kg)
Preferred Qualifications
- Secondary school certificate (KCSE)
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and delivery applications
