Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival, offering a genuine welcome and a friendly smile.
- Manage the restaurant's waiting list and seating chart efficiently, ensuring fair and timely seating.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and providing initial information about daily specials or promotions.
- Answer incoming calls professionally, handle reservations, and respond to guest inquiries regarding dining services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front entrance and host stand area.
- Assist in managing the flow of guests into and out of the dining room, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to manage table availability and guest needs.
- Address guest concerns or special requests promptly and courteously, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by restaurant management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide a positive and lasting impression for all guests, encouraging repeat business.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg.
- Basic computer literacy for reservation systems.
- Fluency in English and Sesotho is highly advantageous.

- Familiarity with restaurant reservation software.
