Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and register guests upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process payments, maintain accurate billing records, and manage the front desk cash drawer.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting lobby and front desk area.
  • Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance) to fulfill guest requests.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, or similar PMS).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and guest information.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional local languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Knowledge of local tourism and attractions in Port Harcourt.
