As an IT Helpdesk Support Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining our operational excellence and minimizing downtime. You will manage incoming support requests via various channels – phone, email, and ticketing system – meticulously tracking progress and resolutions. Your responsibilities will span troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up and configuring new workstations and mobile devices, assisting with network connectivity problems, and providing basic training on common applications. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity suites (MS Office 365), and various business applications.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for employees.
  • Perform user account management, including creation, modification, and deletion in Active Directory and cloud-based identity platforms.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi troubleshooting and basic router/switch configuration.
  • Document all support requests, resolutions, and relevant technical information in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary.
  • Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT best practices and system usage.
  • Participate in IT asset management, including tracking inventory and facilitating repairs or replacements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of IT processes, documentation, and user self-help resources.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an IT helpdesk or support role (minimum 1.5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) principles.
  • Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation).
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Workspace).
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (iOS, Android).
  • Familiarity with remote support tools.
