Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive deployment plans for software releases across development, staging, and production environments.
- Coordinate closely with development, quality assurance, operations, and product management teams to ensure alignment and readiness for deployments.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with software deployments, developing contingency plans as necessary.
- Manage and maintain detailed release documentation, including deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and post-deployment validation checklists.
- Automate deployment processes where possible, collaborating with DevOps engineers to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Schedule and facilitate pre- and post-deployment meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
- Monitor deployed applications post-release to ensure stability and address any immediate issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in deployment processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and industry best practices for all deployments.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in a software deployment, release management, or similar planning role.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deployments concurrently.
- Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for deployment automation.
