Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations.
- Handle cash and card transactions using a POS system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the counter area, seating area, and back-of-house, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, reporting shortages to management.
- Educate customers on different coffee beans, brewing methods, and drink customization options.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns with patience and professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, assisting colleagues as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including opening and closing duties.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista (minimum 1 year).
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and grinders.
- Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and drink recipes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Latte art proficiency.
- Food handler's permit or ability to obtain one.
