This pivotal role involves ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational integrity of electrical installations across our diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects, primarily within the Mashonaland East Province. As a Remote Electrical Systems Inspector, you will leverage advanced inspection techniques and a keen eye for detail to conduct virtual and, when necessary, occasional on-site verifications of electrical systems. You will be responsible for meticulously reviewing blueprints, electrical schematics, installation procedures, and comprehensive test reports submitted by project teams and contractors. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying potential hazards, ensuring stringent adherence to national and international electrical codes (e.g., ZWS, IEC), and recommending decisive corrective actions to uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role demands a proactive individual with exceptional analytical and communication skills, capable of working independently while maintaining close coordination with project managers, electrical engineers, and site teams. You will be tasked with providing comprehensive, clear, and concise reports on inspection findings, meticulously documenting compliance issues, and rigorously tracking the resolution of all identified deficiencies. Furthermore, you will play a key role in developing and implementing best practices for electrical safety and quality assurance across all our projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in preventing electrical failures, ensuring long-term system reliability, and safeguarding personnel and assets. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute significantly to critical infrastructure projects from a flexible, remote setting, making a tangible impact on project success and the safety of our operations. We are looking for someone who thrives on precision, possesses a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, and is passionate about upholding regulatory standards in a fast-paced construction environment. The role requires the ability to interpret complex technical documentation, including CAD drawings and specifications, and compare them against actual installations. You will also be expected to provide expert guidance to our construction teams on proper wiring methods, grounding techniques, overcurrent protection, and power distribution systems. Your findings will directly influence project timelines and budget, making your recommendations critical to our operational efficiency. This remote position offers the flexibility to manage your schedule effectively while demanding meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to safety protocols. A strong understanding of various voltage levels, from low voltage control systems to high voltage distribution, will be essential. Join Masimba Holdings and be a part of building Zimbabwe’s future with integrity and excellence.
