Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to manage transportation logistics.
- Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehousing teams to optimize storage and distribution.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding shipment status, potential delays, and resolution strategies.
- Identify and resolve logistics issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies, efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, expenses, and performance metrics.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and other service providers to achieve cost savings.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, procurement, production) to align logistics operations with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics coordination or similar role.
- Proficiency in logistics software and supply chain management systems (e.g., TMS, WMS).
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective internal and external liaison.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and analysis.
