Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to all company standards.
  • Lead, motivate, train, and develop front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bar staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and exceptional guest service.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift debriefings to communicate daily objectives, specials, and feedback.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the dining areas and service stations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently, ensuring prompt resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and ensuring adequate staffing levels for anticipated business volumes.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Support inventory management, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of enhanced service procedures.
  • Assist with staff evaluations and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and identifying training needs.
  • Proactively manage difficult situations, making sound decisions that align with company policy and guest satisfaction goals.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in staff training, motivation, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with guests and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory control and cost management.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of local food safety regulations and licensing laws specific to Wales.
  • Experience with fine dining or high-volume casual dining environments.
  • Fluent in Welsh (desirable but not essential).
