Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) to transport goods to various destinations within Spanish Town and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to assigned delivery schedules and routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Load, unload, and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal staff regarding delivery status or potential issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and in good working order at all times.
- Assist with warehouse duties, such as sorting and organizing packages, when not on delivery routes.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Class C or higher preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of Spanish Town and St. Catherine road networks.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with delivery tracking software or GPS systems.
