Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances between bank statements and general ledger accounts promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury) to gather information and resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare detailed reconciliation reports for management, highlighting key insights and anomalies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliation procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Adhere strictly to company financial policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in bank reconciliation or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, QuickBooks).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
