Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated mall and office areas, both internal and external, to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, responding promptly and effectively to any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Control access points, meticulously verifying credentials and ensuring only authorised personnel enter restricted areas.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches, strictly following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports, daily occurrence logs, and other required documentation.
- Deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities through visible presence, proactive surveillance, and intervention.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance and information to visitors, tenants, and staff, maintaining a positive public image.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment for everyone.
- Liaise effectively with local law enforcement, fire services, and other emergency services as required.
- Conduct thorough bag and vehicle searches as per protocol, where applicable and authorised.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary, if holding a relevant qualification.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority) – essential, preferably Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
- Minimum of 12 months proven experience in a security role, ideally within a retail, commercial, or corporate environment.
- Exceptional observational skills with a keen eye for detail and potential security risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and demonstrated capacity for conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in basic IT literacy for report writing and CCTV monitoring.
- Physical fitness suitable for undertaking regular patrols, standing for long periods, and responding to incidents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current First Aid at Work certification.
- Valid CCTV Operator Licence.
- Previous experience with integrated access control systems.
- Prior experience in customer service roles, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
