Lake Kivu Serena Hotel is seeking an experienced Residential Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Rubavu. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our property’s upkeep, ensuring that all residential facilities, including guest rooms, staff accommodations, and associated amenities, are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of residential units and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform skilled repairs and maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from residents and hotel staff.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and determine the most effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including time, materials, and repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and hotel operational standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest and resident experience.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
- Strong generalist knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Preferred Qualifications
