As a Driver, you will be the face of our company, interacting with clients and representing our commitment to efficiency and service excellence. You will operate a company-provided vehicle, maintaining it to the highest standards of cleanliness and operational readiness. This position demands excellent navigational skills, a strong understanding of road safety regulations, and the ability to manage delivery schedules efficiently while handling diverse customer interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
Your day will involve planning optimal routes using GPS and local knowledge, safely loading and unloading cargo, verifying delivery contents against manifests, and accurately collecting necessary documentation and signatures. Attention to detail is paramount to ensure accurate order fulfillment, minimize discrepancies, and maintain our high service standards. You’ll also be responsible for conducting routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly to maintain fleet integrity, and adhering strictly to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and transportation regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for deliveries across designated routes.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS and local knowledge to ensure timely arrivals.
- Accurately load, unload, and secure goods, ensuring their safe transit.
- Verify contents of shipments against invoices and delivery manifests, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and vehicle documentation.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or damage promptly.

Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica)
- Clean driving record, free of major infractions
- Proven proficiency in safe driving practices
- Excellent navigation and route planning skills, with good geographical knowledge
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as required
- Exceptional punctuality and reliability
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge for routine checks
- High school diploma or equivalent
