Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Gardener for a residential care facility in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. This isn’t just a job about keeping the lawns trim; it’s an opportunity to create and maintain beautiful, safe, and stimulating outdoor environments that significantly enhance the daily lives of our residents. As a Gardener, you will play a crucial role in cultivating therapeutic gardens, accessible pathways, and inviting green spaces where residents can relax, socialize, and engage with nature.

Your expertise will directly contribute to the well-being of individuals in care, providing them with a connection to the natural world, opportunities for gentle activity, and a visually appealing environment. We are looking for someone with a true passion for horticulture, an eye for detail, and a respectful, understanding approach towards the elderly or those with special needs. You will be responsible for the comprehensive care of all landscaped areas, ensuring they are not only beautiful but also safe, accessible, and free from hazards.

This role involves a blend of physical activity, horticultural knowledge, and a strong sense of empathy. You will work autonomously but also collaborate with facility staff to ensure gardening activities align with residents’ needs and facility regulations. If you take pride in your work and understand the profound impact a well-maintained garden can have on a residential care setting, we encourage you to apply and become an integral part of our caring community.
