Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort laundry items (linens, towels, uniforms, guest clothing) according to fabric type, color, and degree of soiling.
- Inspect items for stains and damage, applying appropriate pre-treatment and washing techniques.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean laundry for storage and distribution to various hotel departments.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report shortages to supervisors.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and procedures.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the laundry area and equipment.
- Handle guest laundry requests with care and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy laundry bags.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
