Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor Aide to join our team in Ancuabe, Cabo Delgado Province. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead tutors in preparing lesson materials and setting up learning activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing concepts taught by tutors.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and lead tutors.
- Help students with homework assignments, study techniques, and organizational skills.
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
- Maintain a tidy and organized learning space, ensuring all materials are readily available.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Adhere to Career.zycto's policies and procedures regarding student safety and conduct.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic academic subjects (Mathematics, Reading, Writing)
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping students learn
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliability and excellent time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting (volunteer or paid)
- Familiarity with local school curriculum standards
- Bilingualism (e.g., Portuguese and a local language)
