Key Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments, ensuring correct change and reconciliation.
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and resolving minor issues.
- Scan items, apply discounts, and process returns or exchanges following company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area.
- Assist customers with product information and locating items within the store.
- Monitor checkout queues and manage customer flow to minimise waiting times.
- Adhere to all cash handling and security procedures to prevent loss.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and achieve sales targets.
- Support merchandising efforts by ensuring products are displayed correctly near the checkout.
