Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive content calendar, aligning with client objectives and SEO strategies.
- Edit, proofread, and optimise blog posts for grammar, clarity, style, tone, accuracy, and SEO (keywords, readability, structure).
- Collaborate with content writers to provide constructive feedback, guide content creation, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality drafts.
- Conduct thorough research to verify factual accuracy and enhance the depth of content.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
- Optimise headlines, meta descriptions, and image alt text for search engine visibility.
- Monitor content performance and utilise analytics to inform future content strategy.
- Stay updated with industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging content marketing techniques.
- Occasionally write original blog content as needed, particularly for internal communications or specific client projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Blog Editor, Content Editor, or similar role, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimisation techniques.
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and project management tools.
