Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Online Membership Community Manager to cultivate and nurture our growing online communities. This fully remote role offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to manage and engage our members from anywhere within Buhera, Manicaland Province, and beyond, on a schedule that works for you. You will be at the heart of our member experience, responsible for fostering a positive, interactive, and valuable environment across our various digital platforms. Your primary goal will be to enhance member retention, facilitate meaningful connections, and ensure our community remains a vibrant hub for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies to increase member activity, interaction, and retention across all platforms.
  • Proactively moderate online forums, groups, and discussion boards, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for all participants.
  • Organize and facilitate virtual events, workshops, webinars, and Q&A sessions to foster meaningful interaction and knowledge exchange among members.
  • Create compelling, relevant, and engaging content (e.g., posts, announcements, newsletters, guides) specifically tailored for our community members.
  • Monitor key community metrics, analyze trends, and provide regular reports on performance indicators, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Identify, nurture, and empower community leaders and advocates, encouraging their active participation and contribution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for member inquiries, feedback, and support requests, escalating technical or complex issues to relevant teams as needed.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams, including marketing, content creation, and product development, to integrate community insights into overall strategic planning.
  • Implement effective onboarding processes for new members, ensuring they feel welcomed, informed, and quickly integrated into the community's culture and offerings.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in online community management, social media management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to craft engaging messages and facilitate online discussions.
  • Strong empathy, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills, with a natural knack for building rapport and fostering connections.
  • Proficiency with various community management platforms (e.g., Discord, Slack, dedicated forum software) and social media tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, interpret community metrics, and derive actionable insights to drive growth and engagement.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently and effectively in a fully remote work setting.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude, with proven conflict resolution and de-escalation skills within online environments.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities to juggle multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • A genuine passion for community building and connecting people through digital platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing paid membership communities or subscription-based online groups.
  • Understanding of basic SEO principles and content optimization for community platforms to increase visibility.
