Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Petroleum Engineer to join our growing technical team in May Pen, Clarendon Parish, Jamaica. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reservoir analysis and characterization studies to optimize production strategies.
- Design and implement well completion and workover programs to enhance well performance and longevity.
- Monitor and analyze production data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and evaluate economic models for new drilling and intervention projects.
- Apply advanced simulation and modeling software to predict reservoir behavior and production forecasts.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and operations teams to achieve project goals.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in petroleum engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical Engineering with petroleum specialization).
- Minimum of 4 years (48 months) of progressive experience in petroleum engineering roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in reservoir engineering, production optimization, and well intervention techniques.
- Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., PETREL, Eclipse, CMG) and production data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of hydrocarbon recovery processes, including primary, secondary, and tertiary methods.
- Commitment to safety, environmental protection, and ethical operational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience with unconventional resource development and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing the energy sector in the Caribbean or similar regions.
- Project management experience in oil and gas operations.
