Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our dynamic team at our Beau Bassin-Rose Hill store. As a Merchandiser focusing on display and store operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are presented attractively and effectively, maximizing sales potential and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. Your primary responsibilities will include executing visual merchandising strategies, maintaining product availability, and ensuring adherence to planograms and store standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain visually appealing product displays in line with company guidelines and promotional strategies.
- Ensure optimal product placement, visibility, and accessibility on shelves, racks, and promotional areas.
- Monitor stock levels, identify replenishment needs, and collaborate with inventory teams to prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Implement and adhere to planograms, ensuring products are displayed according to layout specifications.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess merchandising effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvement, and address challenges.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) materials, signage, and promotional displays effectively to highlight product features and offers.
- Provide feedback on product performance, customer preferences, and competitor activities to the management team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment, ensuring all display fixtures are in excellent condition.
- Assist with receiving and arranging new stock, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
- Collaborate with store staff to ensure consistent merchandising standards and a cohesive brand image.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in merchandising, visual display, or retail sales.
- Strong understanding of retail store operations and product placement strategies.
- Excellent visual merchandising and display execution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to lift and move merchandise, stand for extended periods, and perform various physical tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting.
