Key Responsibilities
- Sort and categorize laundry items according to fabric type, color, and required washing instructions.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload laundry, ensuring correct water levels, detergent quantities, and washing cycles are selected.
- Monitor laundry for stains, damage, or special care requirements, pre-treating as necessary.
- Perform ironing and pressing of various garments and linens to a high standard.
- Fold, hang, and organize clean laundry neatly for storage or immediate use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and inform management of replenishment needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Laundry Attendant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with various laundry equipment and cleaning products.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy laundry bags.
- Basic understanding of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
