As our Chief People Officer, you will be the strategic architect behind our most valuable asset: our people. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the association's mission and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture that promotes employee well-being, growth, and high performance.
  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations, mitigating risks and promoting ethical HR practices.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives, including change management, training programs, and leadership development.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and other senior leaders on all people-related matters.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness and transparency.
  • Implement HR analytics and metrics to measure the effectiveness of people initiatives and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the association.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership in Human Resources, ideally at a senior executive level (CPO, VP HR).
  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities for HR initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Deep understanding of labor laws and HR best practices in Zimbabwe.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition, development, performance management, and compensation.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and foster an inclusive environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SPHRi, CPHR, or equivalent).
  • Experience working within the agricultural sector or a member-based association.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful HR technology solutions.
  • Experience in managing complex organizational change initiatives.
