Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers as required.
- Operate and maintain various types of spray painting equipment, including HVLP, airless, and electrostatic systems.
- Accurately mix and match paint colors, coatings, and other finishing materials according to specifications.
- Apply paint efficiently and uniformly, ensuring adherence to quality standards and minimizing waste.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on finished products to identify and rectify any imperfections, ensuring a flawless finish.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the spray booth, equipment, and tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs to maintain operational continuity.
- Maintain accurate records of paint usage, completed tasks, and equipment maintenance.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Spray Paint Booth Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in various spray painting techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of different paint types, finishes, and application methods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous eye for quality and color matching.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices related to painting operations and hazardous materials.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
