Unitrans Lesotho is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team in Menoaneng, Mokhotlong. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
- Accurately sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick and pack orders according to established procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for outgoing shipments.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks, utilizing manual lifting techniques or basic material handling equipment as required.
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in inventory reconciliation processes to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all company safety protocols and health regulations.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and responsibly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure operational goals are met.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to management promptly.
- Support other warehouse activities and special projects as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, counting inventory, and completing paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience (6-12 months) in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
