Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior animators and designers with various production tasks, including asset preparation, scene clean-up, and file organization.
- Support the creation of visual elements, characters, and environments by performing minor design adjustments and modifications under supervision.
- Learn and utilize industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender) as guided by mentors.
- Help maintain project documentation, ensuring all assets and progress are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Participate in review sessions, taking constructive feedback and applying it to improve design and animation quality.
- Conduct research on animation trends, techniques, and visual styles to support creative development and problem-solving.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across different departments to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
- Perform quality assurance checks on animated sequences and design assets to identify and rectify minor discrepancies.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives and creative ideas for ongoing and future projects.
- Manage and organize digital files and assets, adhering to studio naming conventions and organizational structures.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, squash & stretch, etc.).
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Strong artistic and drawing abilities, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new software and workflows.
- Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
- Basic understanding of storytelling and visual narrative.
Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio demonstrating foundational design and/or animation work (even personal projects).
- Familiarity with 2D animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony) or 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya).
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant design, animation, or multimedia program.
- Experience with project management tools or collaborative platforms.
