Career.zycto is seeking a passionate, driven, and highly perceptive A&R Talent Scout to join our dynamic team in Bessemer, Birmingham. As an A&R Talent Scout, your primary mission will involve extensive research, networking, and attending live performances, open mic nights, and industry showcases to discover the next big thing. You’ll build strong relationships within the local and regional music scenes, cultivating a robust pipeline of promising artists. Beyond discovery, you will be instrumental in evaluating demos, providing constructive feedback, and working closely with artists to refine their sound and brand. Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify emerging musical talent across various genres through live performances, online platforms, social media, and industry contacts.
- Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, including artists, producers, managers, promoters, and booking agents.
- Evaluate demo submissions, provide insightful feedback, and assess artistic potential, marketability, and commercial viability.
- Attend concerts, showcases, and industry events regularly to stay current with trends and identify potential signings.
- Conduct thorough background research on prospective artists, including their online presence, fan base, and professional history.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, legal, production) to develop strategies for artist development and promotion.
- Assist in the negotiation of artist contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both the artist and Career.zycto.
- Act as a primary liaison between artists and the company, fostering strong, trusting relationships.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to signed artists, contributing to their creative growth and career trajectory.
- Prepare comprehensive scouting reports and presentations for executive review.
