Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the precise setup and efficient breakdown of banquet rooms and event spaces according to detailed event orders and management instructions.
- Accurately arrange tables, chairs, linens, dishware, cutlery, and all other necessary event equipment.
- Provide prompt and courteous food and beverage service to guests during events, maintaining high standards of presentation and professionalism.
- Efficiently clear tables and assist with comprehensive post-event cleanup, ensuring the banquet area is meticulously returned to its original state.
- Proactively anticipate and promptly respond to guest needs and requests with politeness and efficiency, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization of all banquet equipment and storage areas.
- Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the banquet team, kitchen staff, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Promptly report any equipment malfunctions, guest complaints, or concerns to the Banquet Manager or supervisor.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills for precise event setup and service.
- Physical stamina and capability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 kg), and move heavy items frequently.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as per event schedules.
- A consistently positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a dedicated customer-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (at least 6 months) in a banquet, catering, restaurant, or food and beverage service role.
- Familiarity with various event setup styles, service protocols, and guest relations.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and responsible alcohol service (where applicable).
