Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload freight from trucks and other vehicles.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests, purchase orders, or other documentation for accuracy.
- Organize, sort, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation and accessibility.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety regulations, procedures, and quality control standards.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for dispatch, including wrapping, labeling, and staging.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing products for damage or defects and report issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet daily goals.
Required Skills
- Proven physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills to process documentation.
- Fundamental understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in operating manual and electric pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS) and scanning equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as operational needs require.
