Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community outreach programs and events.
- Act as a primary point of contact for community members, providing information and support regarding available resources.
- Manage and maintain community contact databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare outreach materials, presentations, and reports to effectively communicate program goals and outcomes.
- Coordinate logistics for community meetings, workshops, and informational sessions.
- Support the outreach team with administrative tasks, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Facilitate strong relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
- Gather feedback from community members to help improve program effectiveness and responsiveness.
- Represent Career.zycto at various community forums and networking events.
- Assist with data collection and analysis related to outreach efforts and community needs assessments.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (bilingualism is highly valued in Montreal).
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Problem-solving aptitude and ability to handle challenging situations with tact and empathy.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for local travel within LaSalle and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Social Work, Community Development, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a community outreach, support, or administrative role, preferably within a non-profit or social services setting.
- Familiarity with the LaSalle and Montreal community landscape and existing social services.
- Experience with CRM software or database management systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
