Key Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and implement original sound effects, ambient soundscapes, and musical elements for various multimedia projects.
  • Record, edit, and process audio, including dialogue, foley, and field recordings, ensuring high fidelity and thematic consistency.
  • Collaborate closely with creative directors, game designers, video editors, and development teams to understand project vision and integrate audio seamlessly.
  • Perform audio mixing, mastering, and spatialization to achieve optimal sonic balance and immersive experiences.
  • Manage and organize sound libraries, assets, and project files efficiently.
  • Integrate audio into various platforms and engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, proprietary tools) using middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) where applicable.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing for audio across different platforms and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay informed on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in sound design and audio production.
  • Troubleshoot audio-related technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative development processes.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, Ableton Live, or Reaper.
  • Demonstrable expertise in sound design principles, audio mixing, and mastering.
  • Strong understanding of acoustics, psychoacoustics, and audio post-production techniques.
  • Experience with audio recording equipment, microphones, and field recording methodologies.
