Career.zycto is looking for a dedicated and skilled Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kröllwitz, Halle. In this critical full-time role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud-based infrastructure. As a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support, troubleshooting complex issues, and maintaining the stability of our multi-cloud environments (primarily AWS, with exposure to Azure/GCP). Your day-to-day will involve proactive monitoring, incident response, problem resolution, and collaborating with development and operations teams to implement best practices and continuous improvements. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for cloud infrastructure issues, including incident management, problem analysis, and resolution.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security, responding to alerts and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades of cloud infrastructure components to ensure optimal operation.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to implement infrastructure changes, new services, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure services.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure support or administration (AWS required, Azure/GCP beneficial).
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Demonstrable experience with incident management and troubleshooting complex distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with database administration (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
