Career.zycto is seeking a talented and experienced Freelance Events & Commercial Photographer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. We are looking for a creative visionary with a keen eye for detail and a passion for capturing compelling narratives through imagery. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting various company events, corporate functions, marketing campaigns, and commercial projects in and around Trench Town, Kingston. This includes everything from small internal gatherings and workshops to larger public-facing conferences and product launches. Your work will be crucial in visually representing our brand, communicating our values, and engaging our audience across multiple platforms, including our website, social media, press releases, and internal communications.
We require a professional who can not only capture high-quality, impactful photographs but also understand the nuances of corporate branding and event dynamics. You must be adept at working independently, managing your time effectively, and delivering projects on tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing a range of event and commercial photography, demonstrating technical proficiency, artistic flair, and an ability to adapt to diverse lighting conditions and shooting environments. Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs at company events, conferences, workshops, and internal gatherings.
- Execute commercial photography assignments, including headshots, product shots, office environments, and promotional content.
- Develop creative concepts for shoots in alignment with Career.zycto's brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Manage the entire photographic process from setup, shooting, post-production (editing, retouching, color correction) to final delivery.
- Ensure all images are delivered on time, meeting required specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize professional-grade photography equipment and software effectively.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current photography trends and techniques.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, communications, and project teams to understand their visual content needs.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance visual storytelling.
- Archive and manage photo assets systematically for easy retrieval.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in event photography and commercial photography.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse photographic skills and stylistic versatility.
- Expertise in professional photography equipment (DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, accessories).
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other professional photo editing software.
- Excellent understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation to various event locations in and around Kingston.
