Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of software releases across various teams and environments.
- Manage the release calendar, ensuring clear communication of release windows, freeze periods, and deployment schedules.
- Work closely with development, QA, product management, and operations teams to identify and resolve potential roadblocks.
- Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and post-release reports.
- Facilitate go/no-go decisions for releases based on readiness criteria and stakeholder input.
- Monitor and report on the progress of releases, escalating issues and risks as necessary.
- Implement and refine release management processes, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure all release artifacts and components are properly versioned and stored.
- Conduct post-release reviews to gather feedback and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the automation of release processes where possible.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Release Management, Project Coordination, or similar role within a software development environment.
- Proven understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with release management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Confluence).
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and process improvement.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks, particularly Release and Deployment Management.
