Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials and products from trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists or other documentation for accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and stack goods in designated areas within the loading bay and warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized loading dock area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational deadlines.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labelling, wrapping, and strapping.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying shipments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse and safety procedures.
