Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level UX Research Assistant to join our growing team in Rostock. As a UX Research Assistant, you will support the entire research lifecycle, from planning and execution to analysis and reporting. This involves assisting with various research methodologies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and competitive analysis. You’ll help us uncover user needs, pain points, and motivations, transforming raw data into actionable recommendations. Our ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, possesses strong observational skills, and is keen to develop their expertise in the field of user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of various UX research activities, including usability studies, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research.
- Support the moderation of user interviews and usability testing sessions.
- Help prepare research materials, such as participant screeners, consent forms, and discussion guides.
- Recruit and schedule research participants according to project requirements.
- Observe and take detailed notes during research sessions, contributing to qualitative data collection.
- Assist with data analysis, including coding qualitative data, thematic analysis, and synthesizing findings.
- Contribute to the creation of comprehensive research reports and presentations, clearly communicating insights and recommendations.
- Maintain research documentation and repositories, ensuring accessibility and organization of research findings.
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and development teams to ensure research insights are integrated into the product development lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, research methodologies, and best practices in UX.
Required Skills
- Foundational understanding of user-centered design principles and UX research methodologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and German.
- Excellent observational and active listening skills.
- Proficiency in using productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn about user behavior and psychology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Design, or a related field.
- Prior experience (academic projects, internships, or volunteer work) with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
- Familiarity with UX research tools (e.g., UserTesting, Qualtrics, Dovetail, Figma).
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis for quantitative data.
