Job Description

This role requires a dedicated and highly organized individual to drive the successful implementation and oversight of our critical programs within the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector. As a Program Officer for NGO Operations at Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our initiatives are executed efficiently, effectively, and in line with our strategic objectives and funding requirements.

You will play a pivotal role in the full program lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. You will be responsible for managing project budgets, tracking expenditures, and preparing comprehensive financial and narrative reports for donors and internal leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational management of assigned NGO programs, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with program partners, beneficiaries, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial and narrative reports for internal use and external donors, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Manage program budgets, track expenditures, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the development of new program proposals and funding applications.
  • Facilitate capacity building initiatives for partner organizations and program staff.
  • Ensure all program activities comply with relevant policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in program management within the non-profit or NGO sector.
  • Strong financial management and budget oversight skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
