Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues, diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct electrical repairs, including lighting, outlets, switches, and minor wiring issues.
- Address plumbing concerns such as leaks, clogs, fixture replacements, and pipe repairs.
- Execute carpentry tasks including door repairs, furniture assembly, minor structural fixes, and painting.
- Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring optimal climate control and efficiency.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects when necessary.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide on-call support for urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours as required by the accommodation benefit.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
