Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives in Chiredzi, Masvingo Province. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our organizational objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and future talent needs.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, including leadership development, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning interventions.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and measurable return on investment.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics, making continuous improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and adult learning theories to ensure cutting-edge program delivery.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, department heads, and senior leadership to integrate L&D initiatives into broader talent management strategies.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors and consultants when necessary.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a team of L&D professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the L&D function.
  • Champion a learning culture across the organization, promoting self-directed learning and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and curriculum development.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
