This role is for a dedicated and meticulous Paint Mixing Laborer to join our client’s growing team in Gatineau, Quebec. As a vital member of the production department, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation and mixing of various paint formulations, ensuring they meet strict quality and consistency standards. This hands-on position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, an eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial part in the initial stages of production, directly impacting the quality of the final product. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix various paint components (pigments, solvents, resins) according to precise formulas and specifications.
- Operate and maintain mixing equipment, including blenders, agitators, and pumps, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Monitor production processes, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and consistency of paint batches.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials and finished paint products, recording data accurately.
- Handle and store chemicals and raw materials safely and responsibly, adhering to all health and safety regulations (WHMIS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production schedules and troubleshoot issues.
- Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished products, reporting discrepancies as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and formulas accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
- Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them strictly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly with material mixing or chemical handling.

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
