Key Responsibilities
- Operate various professional cameras (DSLRs, mirrorless, cinema cameras, ENG cameras) to capture high-quality footage for diverse projects.
- Set up and break down camera equipment, including tripods, gimbals, sliders, and other stabilization tools.
- Adjust camera settings (exposure, focus, white balance, frame rate) to achieve desired visual effects and comply with technical specifications.
- Work collaboratively with directors, producers, lighting technicians, and audio engineers to achieve the overall creative vision.
- Perform basic lighting setup and adjustments to enhance scene aesthetics and subject visibility.
- Ensure proper audio recording, working in conjunction with audio personnel, or by managing on-camera audio where required.
- Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, ensuring all gear is in excellent working condition.
- Transport and handle equipment safely to and from various shooting locations.
- Contribute creative input during pre-production planning and on-set execution.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver footage promptly for post-production.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Camera Operator.
- Proficiency in operating a range of professional camera equipment and accessories.
- Strong understanding of cinematography principles, including composition, lighting, and camera movement.
- Excellent knowledge of video formats, codecs, and digital workflow.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with live event broadcasting or multi-camera setups.
- Proficiency in basic video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Experience with drone operation and aerial cinematography (licensed preferred).
- Knowledge of color grading principles.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating diverse camera operating experience.
