Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment strategies to attract a diverse and skilled pool of candidates for various NGO projects.
- Conduct comprehensive orientation and training sessions for new volunteers, covering organisational policies, project goals, and required skills.
- Manage volunteer databases, schedules, and assignments, ensuring optimal deployment of resources to meet project needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all volunteers, providing ongoing support, mentorship, and recognition to foster high morale and retention.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand volunteer requirements and integrate volunteer efforts seamlessly into project timelines and objectives.
- Organise and facilitate regular volunteer appreciation events and feedback sessions to enhance engagement and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance and programme effectiveness, preparing regular reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies regarding volunteer activities.

Required Skills
- Proven experience in volunteer coordination, community engagement, or project management (minimum 2 years).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse groups.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or volunteer management software.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with people from all backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Full working rights in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Non-profit Management, or a related field.
- Experience working within an NGO or charitable organisation.
