Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly creative freelance Photographer specializing in both events and commercial projects to join our network of top-tier talent. Based in Washington Gardens, Kingston, you will be instrumental in capturing pivotal moments and crafting compelling visual narratives for a diverse range of clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, project requirements, and desired photographic style for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and execute photo shoots, including location scouting, setup of lighting equipment, and directing subjects as needed.
- Capture high-quality images using professional-grade cameras, lenses, and other photographic equipment.
- Perform extensive post-production work, including culling, editing, retouching, and colour correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Ensure all delivered images meet client specifications, brand guidelines, and high professional standards.
- Manage file organization, backup, and timely delivery of final edited photographs.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Adapt to various shooting environments and challenges, demonstrating problem-solving skills on-site.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Events and Commercial Photographer, demonstrated through a strong portfolio.
- Expert proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for photo editing and retouching.
- Excellent understanding of photography principles, including composition, exposure, and lighting techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and direction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Own reliable transportation and equipment suitable for professional assignments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Familiarity with drone photography for aerial shots.
- Prior experience working with diverse corporate and event clients in Jamaica.
- Membership in professional photography associations.
