Key Responsibilities
- Interpret scripts, creative briefs, and directorial vision to develop compelling set designs.
- Create detailed conceptual drawings, 3D models, mood boards, and technical plans using industry-standard software.
- Source, select, and specify appropriate materials, furniture, props, and decor, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
- Collaborate closely with directors, cinematographers, and production staff to ensure designs meet artistic and technical requirements for various media.
- Oversee the construction, dressing, and dismantling of sets, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution while maintaining safety standards.
- Manage budgets for set design and construction, tracking expenses and optimizing resources efficiently.
- Stay updated with current design trends, materials, and production technologies to maintain innovative and fresh approaches.
- Ensure all set constructions comply with safety regulations and production guidelines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, Blender, Revit).
