Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Tester with a strong focus on app review to join our growing team in Mombasa. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and web applications across various platforms (iOS, Android, Web).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to identify software defects and inconsistencies.
- Conduct thorough app reviews, evaluating user interface (UI), user experience (UX), performance, and security aspects.
- Document and track defects using bug tracking systems, providing clear, concise, and reproducible steps.
- Collaborate closely with development, product management, and design teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to improve application quality and user satisfaction.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, testing methodologies, and tools to enhance testing processes.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance, with a focus on mobile/web applications.
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
